Description:
Sage Patton stopping by Brad Snow's fish camp for a visit with 1000 pounds of gear in her boat. Sage is holding a polling pole. A motor lift was available for the 19-foot Grumman canoe, built by a craftsman in Fairbanks, but it was soon discovered that a simple 6-inch transom extension worked better, was lighter, and could be made with materials at hand. The motor's draft was controlled by shifting the weight of the operator.
Listen to Brad Snow talk about the photo.
