Franklin Madros, Sr.

Franklin Madros, Sr. was interviewed on February 5, 2001 by Mike Spindler in Kaltag, Alaska for the Raven's Story radio series on KIYU-AM public radio station in Galena, Alaska. In this interview, Franklin talks about his life living a subsistence based lifestyle in Kaltag. He discusses hunting, fishing and traveling by dog team, being chief of Kaltag, serving in the military, dealing with substance abuse, and predicting the weather. He also tells a story about a flood in the Kiyu Flats.
