Eric Mack

For three years in the early 2000's, Eric Mack worked at KIYU-AM public radio station in Galena, Alaska. He was program manager and also helped conduct some interviews for the station's Raven's Story radio series that recorded elders' stories, observations, and experiences relating to wildlife, fish, and subsistence in the Koyukuk and middle Yukon areas of interior Alaska. He also published articles in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner newspaper, contributed to National Public Radio with stories focused on politics, energy and the environment, and is author of a book titled 90 Below: Or, What Bush Alaska Taught Me About Drink, Destruction & Survival (2011). He remains a journalist in the Lower 48 focusing on technology.
