Description:
Dipnetting on the Innoko River for whitefish. This big net would catch lots of fish. One time Maurice Newman caught twenty-three fish in one dip. He cut the slough off by placing a fish fence made of split, straight-grained spruce poles and willows into the water to create a deep pool where the fish would gather. This made for better fishing.
