Nancy Fresco
Nancy Fresco

Nancy Fresco gave a presentation on February 16, 2010 to the Stakeholders and Climate Change Meeting at the International Arctic Research Center (IARC) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in Fairbanks, Alaska. The purpose of the meeting was to bring together local experts and scientists to discuss issues related to climate change. Scientists gave presentations addressing some of the issues raised in the communities about impacts to their subsistence livelihoods. In this presentation, titled "Using SNAP Climate Models to Project Species Shifts, Biome Change, and Landscape Connections," Nancy briefly reviews the process of climate modeling and then discusses a model for understanding how climate change might affect Alaskan biodiversity and connectivity in the future.
