Dedication ceremony for the White Alice Communications System (WACS) in the Talkeetna Theater on Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, on March 28, 1958. The men on stage probably include Alaska Territorial Governor Mike Stepovich, Lt. Gen. Joseph H. Atkinson, commander, Alaskan Command, and Brig. Gen. Kenneth H. Gibson, commander, Alaska Air Command. There was a telephone on stage that was used by Secretary of Interior Frederick Seaton to call in congratulations during the ceremony.
